Pentewan Valley Parish Council today joins the rest of the country in mourning following the death of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II.

Council Chairman, Mike Ward said: "On behalf of the residents of Pentewan Valley and the officer and members of the Parish Council, I would like to express my deepest sorrow at the death of the Queen Elizabeth who has been our Monarch since 1952

She has been the longest serving Monarch of the United Kingdom, 14 other sovereign states and Head of the Commonwealth. She has dutifully served as our Queen providing stability during periods of significant change and challenge.

She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all. Our thoughts are with her family during this sad time”.
